Terms and Conditions

Here’s everything you need to know about our terms and conditions — designed to keep it clear, fair, and hassle-free during your Kanga & Roo styling experience.

Quotes

All hire quotes will be sent via email after the initial consultation. Quotes are inclusive of styling, installation and de-rigging of the items by us. If a midnight takedown is stipulated by the venue, either at the point of the couple booking the venue, or when Kanga and Roo arrange installation and de-rig dates/times, an additional £100 charge will apply. This fee will be payable to Kanga and Roo before the client’s event date by the client hiring the items.

Delivery & Mileage Fees

Delivery is free within five miles of Aylesford. Mileage will be charged at 50p per mile for bookings further afield.

Deposits

We ask for a 30% deposit in advance on confirmation of your booking to ‘Save the Date’, plus a security deposit of £150 if hiring low-level décor. Once all items are collected and confirmed to be in the condition they were in when delivered, security deposits are returned by BACS transfer within 5 to 10 working days after the event. Any items missing or damaged will be charged at cost per item plus postage and packing. The remaining 70% balance will be due five weeks prior to your event. Confirmation emails will be sent when we receive deposit and balance payments.

Hire Period

The hire is for a maximum period of one day per individual event. Longer periods are available by prior request.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you decide to cancel your booking, we reserve the right to charge a £80.00 fee to cover the administration cost. This is in addition to the following cancellation and return of deposit details: cancellation and return of deposit from booking date (the date on which the wedding or event will take place): within 9 months of booking date 75% (minus £80.00); within 9 to 6 months 50% (minus £80.00); within 6 to 1 months 25% (minus £80.00); within 1 month 0%. We also reserve the right to refuse a refund for any décor you may choose to remove from your booking after your balance payment date.

Force Majeure

Kanga & Roo shall not be held liable for failure to fulfil obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters (e.g. floods, earthquakes), pandemics, government-imposed restrictions, acts of war, or other unforeseen events.

In such cases:

●      We will work with you to reschedule the booking to a mutually agreed date, subject to availability.
●      If rescheduling is not possible, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, less any non-recoverable costs incurred.
●      Any cancellations due to force majeure events will not incur an administration fee.

Liability

Kanga & Roo’s total Liability to the Renter under and/or arising in relation to any agreement shall not exceed the amount of the Rental and charges for Services (if any) under that agreement. Kanga & Roo shall have no Liability to the Renter if, without just cause, any monies due in respect of the rented goods have not been paid in full by the due date for payment. Nothing in this contract shall exclude or limit the Liability of the Supplier for death or personal injury due to the Supplier’s negligence nor exclude or limit any other type of Liability which it is not permitted to exclude or limit as a matter of law. Any defective rented goods must be returned to the Supplier for inspection if requested by the Supplier before the Supplier will have any Liability for defective Hire Goods.

Governing Law

The Agreement is governed by the laws of England. Any dispute may be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If any provision of this Agreement is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
